A Kitchen for a Culinary Enthusiast & Lover of Antiques

Our goal was to give this 1922 Colonial Revival the modern function its homeowners needed without losing the history and character that made them fall in love with it in the first place.

We exposed and restored one of the home’s original brick chimney stacks, preserved the hardwoods, and beautiful leaded-glass cabinetry in the original butler’s pantry- adding deep lower drawers for oversized pots and pans and dedicated counter space for a coffee bar.

Rather than simply making the kitchen larger, we made the existing footprint work harder. The former breakfast area was reimagined as a second, multifunctional butler’s pantry- housing the microwave, mixer, and small appliances while still leaving room for a cozy breakfast nook.

In the main kitchen, a 60" Thermador gas range takes center stage, designed for a homeowner who truly loves to cook. Panel-ready appliances allow the cabinetry and architectural details to remain the focus, while a refrigerator drawer tucked beneath the dry bar brings a little 2025 luxury to this 1922 beauty.

The result is a kitchen rooted in history, but ready for everyday living.
